About
Meet Our Team
I am presently an attorney, handling Social Security disability cases, long ago a construction worker, enjoying most of each career, each in a different way. I am of an age where most people start cutting back but I haven’t yet had the sense to do that. Our office was in downtown Spartanburg, and, because years ago no one else wanted them and because they were sort of abandoned, we bought the two houses next to the office, and then, for the same reason, the house down from our home in Woodland Heights, and then we moved our office, leaving yet another abandoned downtown house…

For years we have imagined what is now in fact happening, a slow but steady revival of an every-year-more-lively-and-livable downtown Spartanburg. We have tried to do our part. Brother Stan and Terry Hill, two really great contractors, gutted and fixed up each of the houses until they were beautifully restored to their original condition, but with all the modern stuff. Trina scrounged around for years to find cool furniture from each home’s original era. The idea is to make apartments that have the feel of the old days, each handcrafted and hand furnished, with comfortable rooms to live in and big windows to look out of, for those who don’t want to live in a cookie-cutter modern apartment, us thinking that downtown was probably going to come back. And our gamble paid off, since, as we improved the insides, others kindly improved the outside, starting up walking-distance coffee shops and restaurants, building a park for us, and making safe places to wander. We sort of gambled that downtown Spartanburg would gradually become the homey, safe, comfortable place it was long ago, and the gamble has paid off; now it is that place.
Office Manager
Trina Bartlett Rose
Born on the west coast, I lived there until 2000. Since then, I have spent the last 20 years in the upstate exploring the customer service industry. I have always enjoyed meeting people worldwide, and this industry allows me to do that. I am an avid caretaker, so it comes second nature to me. I like to take great care of family, extended family, and all the folks I meet. I have raised two exceptional children and am blessed now with beautiful grandchildren. When I am not working, I try to keep up with my husband and two very energetic pups and steal a little time for gardening, hiking, and little yoga.
